"KidSpeak is the BEST. Amy J Clayman embodies all the wonderful characteristics it takes to work with children. She is full of personality, caring, patient and 100% dedicated. We are indebted to Amy for all the hard work, dedication and time she put into making our speech journey a positive and successful one. Brayden, my son, asked just the other day if we could go back to speech and see Mrs. Amy. "

"We love Ms. Amy!! Our son was very tentative about going to places away from us at that time in his life. He didn't respond well to a speech therapy preschool setting. We were very discouraged and lost as to what to do. My husband found Ms. Amy on-line at Kidspeak during a late night "last ditch effort" search. It turned out to be the greatest experience ever. Ms. Amy made him feel comfortable from the start.
She makes speech therapy a lot of fun!! Our son loved the learning setting and was always happy to go, to do his homework , and to participate. Obviously, we were thrilled as well! "

"My son Jake started seeing Amy a few months before he turned 3. Jake had virtually no 'clear' words. He said maybe 3 or 4 understandable words. In less than a year Jake was talking clearly and even using sentences. By the end of our time with Amy, Jake could retell a short story at preschool. Amy is a very caring and a kind teacher. The rapport that she had with Jake was amazing. She always made the sessions fun and Jake loved 'playing' with Amy. She is very loving and patient. I truly believe that Amy has found her calling in life. We hear daily from relatives and neighbors... "Wow, Jake is talking so well". Without Amy's guidance and knowledge, I do not believe that Jake would be as far along in his speech. "

"Amy was my daughter's speech therapist for 1 year. Being a pediatrician, I researched different speech therapists and was very excited to see Amy's credentials. Even more important was that her personal skills and ability to relate to my daughter were superb. My daughter had 75 speech errors and was 5% intelligible when she started with Amy at age 3 yrs 10 months. At the end of one year of therapy (once a week) she was 95% intelligible and had only 10 errors, most of which were age appropriate errors. I highly recommend Amy for any speech therapy
needs."

"I highly recommend Amy Clayman to work with children who have speech and language needs. When we brought our almost 3 year-old son to see her for an evaluation, he was drooling excessively for no apparent medical cause. After a couple months of working with Amy, the drooling is completely under control, his speech has improved and he looks forward to his visits with her. I will definitely continue to work with Amy as our children’s speech and language needs change. Thank you!"

"Tyler was born “tongue tied” and had a few speech issues that needed to be corrected. Amy was wonderful with him-he was always excited to go and see her and enjoyed the fun practice games she devised to help him master his “th” sounds. In four short months Tyler graduated from speech, largely due to Amy’s fun and motivating teaching style. I think that anyone who is looking for a speech teacher for their child can stop looking once they meet Amy."

"My 5 year old son was showing signs of some articulation issues. After speaking with his teachers and ent I knew the next step was to get him some help with his speech. I had originally scheduled an appointment with a local company that my insurer recommended. After doing some extra research, I stumbled upon Kidspeak's website and decided to give Amy a call. I am a former teacher and I knew when I spoke with Amy that I had found what I was looking for. I scheduled an evaluation and was floored by her ability with kids. She speaks at the kid's level and is able to keep them on task while accomplishing goals in a fun way. My son looked forward to his weekly sessions and Amy kept him motivated to work hard. I also learned tactics on dealing with him from an educational standpoint just by watching her in action. Amy was also dealing with my son's Auditory Processing Disorder. She helped me out in becoming my son's advocate so that I could deal with the school system to get accomodations for him. The progress he has made in 6 months is amazing. He is now confident in his speaking ability and has learned so many ways to function in his classroom with his APD. I can't say enough about Amy-she is awesome!"

"Amy was our daughter’s speech therapist for 3 years. When we first met Amy our daughter was 2 ½ years old, had just been diagnosed with a hearing impairment and was talking at the level of a 12-18 month old. Although Amy’s official title was speech therapist she was so much more than that because she always went over and far beyond the definition of a speech therapist. Amy was always researching the current literature to make sure she could adapt her techniques to our daughter. She gave us daily updates and spent hours helping our daughter learn to talk. Amy is extremely organized and would make sure her lessons were so fun that Santi never even realized she was learning something. All she knew was that she was going to play with Miss Amy. It wasn’t uncommon to find Amy helping our daughter to communicate using a book that Amy made especially for her. By the time Amy had been working with Santi for one year her speech was on or above the same level as her mainstream peers. She is by far the best teacher/therapist our daughter has ever had and any child or family who is lucky enough to have her will soon realize what a gem they have found. With Amy’s help our daughter’s future is profoundly brighter."

"Amy Clayman was my daughter's speech therapist for 3 years. Amy was truly a God send for Michaela. Michaela has a severe hearing loss due to illness at 18 mos. old. By the time we discovered her hearing loss at almost 3 years of age she was desperately behind in her speech and vocabulary, as expected. Amy took Michaela under her wing and gave my daughter the gift of speech. Today people are shocked when they learn of Michaela's hearing loss because they would never know it through her speech. Michaela is a vibrant active 9 year old little girl who excels at school, plays soccer, basketball and little league baseball with the boys (and holds her own!). All of this is possible because Amy is more that just a speech therapist. Amy builds self confidence, administers love and compassion, motivates and excites her students. Even now 4 years later Michaela truly misses her friend Amy, as do I. The world needs more people like Amy Clayman. There are really no words that can express how grateful we are to Amy or how truly wonderful she is or what an amazing human being she is."

"In 2005, I contacted a local Speech school and on behalf of my son requested the services of a speech language therapist familiar with prompt therapy techniques. Amy contacted me to arrange an initial meeting and over the course of the next eighteen months was instrumental in helping both my son and daughter overcome their speech issues. Amy is upbeat and energetic. She engages the children in their work through play, making repetitive and sometimes frustrating exercises actually fun. My son had some t/k and d/g articulation issues and in less than two months, Amy was able to help Liam produce the "K" sound when previously he was only able to substitute the "t" sound. Liam's intelligibility increased dramatically in a few shorts months.
In 2006, I again called upon Amy's expertise when my daughter's pre-school suggested that we seek an evaluation with a speech language therapist. Claire was about a year younger than my son when we started the evaluation and process of obtaining serviced from our town school district. Her issues were much more complex (incorrect vowel pronounciation, incorrect pronouns, t/k and d/g, stopping, fronting etc) and the diagnosis from the evaluation indicated that she had a severe articulation disorder. Amy engaged Claire by bringing games which matched her interests (namely, games including cooking, ponies and princesses). Amy provided homework examples that reinforced the particular area that was being worked on. I was always welcome to sit in on the lesson and she took time to show me the technique (oral motor exercise) she was working on and explained how the exercises would support the end goal. Communication is one of A my's strengths and I was amazed at how she energized my daughter and encouraged her to succeed. Both Claire and Liam looked forward to Amy's visits as a fun experience. She made articulation drills a pleasure and rewarded Claire with positive feedback such as stickers and always an upbeat comment ("good job, nice try" etc.). From March to October 2006, Claire made huge strides in overcoming her numerous speech issues thanks to Amy's positive influence and effective techniques. She is a gifted Speech language therapist, absolutely dedicated to helping her students achieve their potential through play in a positive environment. I would strongly recommend Amy Clayman to any parent who is seeking speech-related help for their child."

"Amy Clayman is wonderful. Our son immediately responded to her caring methods. He looked forward to each session, and without realizing, he was learning, developing and gaining the confidence needed to overcome his disability."

"As a parent of a child who struggled with speech, you don't know how valuable someone's service like Amy's can be. When we first started seeing her, our daughter, then 2, was shy around strangers because she couldn't express herself. After just a few short weeks she started warming up to Amy and using the words she was learning. Amy's genuine love for her kids is amazing. She brought our daughter out of her shell and taught her how to speak. What Amy does for kids is wonderful. She truly cares about you and your child's speech and helping them learn the fundamentals they need to be able to express themselves. Amy is in a class of her own. She came highly recommended from our Pediatric ENT and we couldn't agree more. I wouldn't hesitate to refer her or go back to her if needed. She comes with the highest praise from us. Thanks again Amy!!!"
